Topic: What will the first E.T.I.s we meet be like?

Another interesting question, the answer to which is merely a matter of personal opinion since we have very little data to go on.  I tend to believe that an E.T.I. civilization that is advanced enough to use interstellar travel is unlikely to have much reason to be hostile to us.  They would have access to resources and technology far beyond anything that they might want to take away from us.  So, I voted for "Friendly".
